About the Technology
What is GameZone Download
Network?
The GameZone Download Network (GZdlNET) uses a
sophisticated content delivery system using GetRight's proprietary
technology to distribute secure downloads from our servers.
What is
GetRight?
GetRight is a Download Manager program to help you download files from
the Internet. It features download resuming and accelerating.
How do I
configure my browser for the service?
The default selection on your browser should be fine. Be sure to run
the download manager file after clicking the link.
Downloading files
What happens if my connection is broken?
Our download manager allows you to pause and resume downloads. Can I
download multiple files at the same time?
Yes, just start a new download normally as you did for the previous
one.
The download
won't start, I'm stuck on the "Downloading" page, what should I do?
Disable any pop-up blocker you may have installed and then retry the
download. Or, start the download using the alternate link provided.
After a Download
How do I get help for the file I
just downloaded?
We do everything possible to assure that the files we have in the
system are free from viruses and are complete. Beyond that we
don't have any control over what the file does or how well it works or
even if it works at all. Please contact the publisher of the
file for any technical support on the functionality (or lack thereof)
of a specific file.
Having said
that, if the file doesn't load, or crashes or the 'zip file is
corrupt' please check that you have the complete file. Make sure
the downloaded file on your system is the EXACT SIZE of what we have
on the download page. Use the Windows Explorer and find the
file, right-click on the filename, click Properties, and view size (bytes)
number. The VALUE IN PARENTHESES must be an EXACT MATCH to what
we have on the download page. If not, try downloading again.
If it happens a few times please email us.
The movie won't play, no sound, missing
codec...
We don't support this stuff either. Usually if you get the
latest MS Windows Media Player or Apple's QuickTime Player for Windows
you can get things working. Here are some links that may help:
MS Media Player -
www.microsoft.com/downloads/
Apple QuickTime -
www.Apple.com/QuickTime/Download/Standalone/
Do I have to pay for the software to
continue using it?
You may have downloaded some shareware or freeware. We provide these
files in a fast, easy to use location as an added service to our users.
The company that developed the software allows you to use it for a
period of time to test it out. After that they want you to pay
for it. That is between you and the company, but we hope you
will support their efforts for software you enjoy.
