The One Must Fall: Battlegrounds story is set in the future, twenty years after the fall of the once powerful WAR (World Aeronautics and Robotics) organization, established in One Must Fall: 2097. The game brings back many of the same characters from the first game and also introduces a new, colorful cast of pilots and robots. Each competitor possesses a unique background and personality that unfolds as they progress through the fighting tournament, revealing distinct motivations that drive each one to win. There are a total of 50 pilots and 8 robots that are interchangeable, giving players a myriad of fighting techniques and strategies, as well as a number of electrifying arenas in which to compete. The game will feature new fighting techniques for each robot, and individualized super moves that are revealed as the game action intensifies.
