Created by Jeff Minter (Llama Soft) -- known for games like Tempest 2000, Space Giraffe, Gridrunner, and more -- the dynamic visualizers are synchronized with music and gameplay, and increase in intensity and saturation as the invaders speed up or change formations. In keeping with the storyline of the game, the visualizer backgrounds are abstract representations of the Space Invader invasion from outer space (Universe) to Earth, from landing (Nature) to Tokyo day and night.
