In order to complete a successful alley-oop, the timing and situation must be right . Bad positioning or defensive pressure can force alley-oop passes out of bounds or even cause a turnover.
New to NBA 2K6 is the Icon Lead Passing, a new feature that allows gamers to perform a pass to a specific player and lead that player to a designated area on the court. Finally, gamers can use athletes with great passing attributes to perform flashy passes adding style and excitement on a scoring play.
