Bobby 'Scaler' Jenkins is a bright energetic twelve-year-old boy with a sharp wit and a keen eye. He's the daredevil of the neighborhood and a serious force of nature. Bobby is an only child raised by his single mother. His father, a famous research scientist, disappeared shortly after Bobby's birth. Bobby's mother overindulges Bobby in order to compensate for the loss of his father, and because of this Bobby has a bit too much free rein and tends to push things a bit too far.
